Interesting History Information. I Have Available: Information On Old Friends. Interested In The Period From 1790 To 1823. I am trying to find information on my maternal 4x G Grandfather who was born in Philadelphia in 1796 his name was Benjamin Alexander Niles his father was possibly John.Benjamin's records begin here in England in 1825 it states he was a mariner, he must have joined the British Royal Navy as he is a pensioned mariner in 1851.He was not a resident of England prior to his marriage in 1825. He had no american family here with him.He remained her in England until his death in 1866.I am having an awful lot of trouble finding any information about any Niles family in Philadelphia around the time of Benjamins birth in 1796.I would love to be able to have some help tracking down Benjamins family he left behind in Philadelphia, mainly so i can add some names on my family tree prior to 1825.In return for any help i am willing to help anyone in America who may have historical English Naval ties in Plymouth,Devon,England or non Naval history ties.I would be grateful for any help or advice given to me from anyone with a knowledge o f Philadelphia in 1796-1820's. kind Regards, Sam.
